Within the “My contribution is development” program, “Resonate! concludes the third training phase in Taiz

Resonate!Yemen Foundation concluded yesterday, in Taiz, the third training phase within the “My Contribution is  Development” program, which s implementing in partnership with Youth Without Borders and with the support of the European Union in Yemen.

The third training phase was titled “Advocacy, Gaining Support and Mobilizing Resources” and it lasted for 10 days, in which 40 young men and women from Taiz Governorate participated.

For his part, the project officer pointed out that the implementation of such training workshops aims to support young activists to increase their understanding of the importance of the role of advocacy in empowering youth to participate and influence the decision-making process. It also aims to equip them with networking skills with civil and local society to support advocacy issues.

On her part, Ms. Ola Al-Saqqaf, Program Director at Youth Without Borders, praised the youth’s interaction with the topics of the third training phase and their enthusiasm to benefit from training topics in the field of advocacy and project planning, so that they can contribute to advocating issues of concern to society.

It is noteworthy that the training program lasts for a year and targets 160 young men and women from the governorates of Aden, Taiz, Hadramout, and Ma'rib, during which several training workshops will be implemented on the topics of (identifying community needs - advocacy and lobbying and mobilizing resources - leadership - development project management - governance and local governance) .

He added, "The importance of this training is evident as it worked to enable young people to know the development priorities that will be worked on in the next phase during the implementation of community initiatives that youth will work on leading in each of the four governorates targeted in the program and which will be funded by Resonate! Yemen Foundation."
