Resonate! concludes the third training phase in Hadramout

Resonate! Yemen Foundation concluded yesterday the third training phase in the city of Seiyun entitled “Advocacy, Gaining Support and Mobilizing Resources” as part of the “My Contribution is Development” project implemented by the Foundation in partnership with Volunteers Foundation in Hadramout and with the support of the European Commission in Yemen. And it lasted for 10 days, with the participation of 40 young men and women from Hadramout governorate.

For his part, the project officer indicated that this training phase aimed to support young activists to increase their understanding of the importance of the role of advocacy in empowering young people to participate and influence the decision-making process, in addition to providing them with planning and networking skills with civil and local society to support advocacy issues.

Nizar Al Kathiri, Executive Director of the Volunteers Foundation, praised the participants ’interaction with the training topics of the third phase, noting the importance of the skills that the participants will acquire in the My contribution is  development program, and how the program will contribute to developing the capabilities of youth and developing their skills in several fields , enabling them to contribute effectively to achieving development.
It is noteworthy that the training program will last for a year, targeting 160 young men and women from the governorates of Aden, Taiz, Hadramout, and Ma'rib, during which several training workshops will be implemented on the topics of (identifying community needs - leadership - advocacy, lobbying and resource mobilization - project planning - governance and local governance).
