Within the "My Contribution is Development " program, Yemen concludes the third training phase in Marib ….

Within the activities of the My Contributions is development Project which implemented by Resonate! Yemen Foundation with the support of the European commission in Yemen, the third training phase, entitled “Advocacy, Gaining Support and Mobilizing Resources,” was concluded yesterday, Tuesday, in Marib  in participation   40 young men and women from Marib governorate.

At the conclusion, Mr. Nasser Ma'im, Chairman of Ajyal Marib Association, pointed out the qualitative importance that this training phase acquires, as it provides participants with important skills such as: networking skills, strategic planning, advocacy, lobbying and resource mobilization.

He added, "The next stage will be the implementation of several development initiatives which is  implemented by the participants in the program in order to play an important role in the development process and enhance their roles in serving community issues."

For his part, the project officer indicated that this training phase aims to support young activists to increase their understanding of the importance of the role of advocacy in empowering youth to participate and influence the decision-making process. It also aims to equip them with networking skills with civil and local society to support advocacy issues.

It is noteworthy that the training program lasts for a year and targets 160 young men and women from the governorates of Aden, Taiz, Hadramout, and Ma'rib, during which several training workshops will be implemented on the topics of (identifying community needs - advocacy and lobbying and mobilizing resources - leadership - development project management - governance and local governance) .
