Resonate! Yemen Foundation concluded today in Aden the first training workshop within the "my contributions is development” project implemented Resonate with support of the European Union.
The first training workshop on "Organizing and Communication Skills and Meeting the Needs of Society" came and lasted for a period of six days, in which 40 young men and women from Aden Governorate participated.
During the workshop, the participants were trained on how to define societal needs and define development priorities, in addition to training them on communication and presentation skills, leadership skills, and concepts related to conflict management, and how to form youth networks, in addition to concepts related to effective community participation, development planning with participation, and formulating goals And preparing development plans, with the aim of enabling participants to benefit from donor funds and direct them to meet the needs of society.
For his part, the project coordinator indicated that the project lasts for a year, during which several training workshops will be implemented on topics (defining community needs - leadership - development projects management - governance - gender).
He added, "The implementation of such training workshops aims to support young activists to increase their understanding of society’s needs and priorities, and enable them to build their own perceptions in defining societal needs, which contributes to achieving development.
