Leaders for Development project, implemented by Resonate!Yemen in partnership with the support  of nternational Law and Public Policy Group (PILPG), supported civil society in Yemen, especially women, youth and persons with disabilities - voices that were not fairly represented at various stages of modern Yemen.

Through workshops, networking and exchange of experiences, the project sought to enable civil society organizations and civil leaders to defend their visions and issues more effectively to advance the process of community consensus to stabilize the country.

The project also worked to create several effective youth networks that deal with the issues of their local communities and work to address them in coordination with the local authorities, through the selection of 20 young men and women from all targeted governorates, were trained through three training stages in leadership skills, negotiation, identify the needs of the community and prepare projects Advocacy and coalition building, community consensus and coordination.

In addition to the training received by the members of the network, the Foundation has worked to provide advice and guidance during the stages of the implementation of the project, where in each training phase is set practical requirements that must be implemented by the participants to ensure the continuation of the subsequent phase, and provide some small financial grants, which in turn will enable members The network contributes to community development and establishes the rules of community peace in coordination with local authority leaders and local and international organizations.

 

Components of the project:

The project has three main components and each component contains a set of sub-activities. These components and activities are as follows:

Component 1: Civil Society Organizations:

 

 

.Enable civil society organizations to defend their visions and issues more effectively to advance peace building  and stabilize the country Attendance of six training workshops in Amman, Jordan

 

Component 2: Youth Network (Leaders for Development)

 

Training and empowering 100 young men and women distributed in five governorates (Sana'a, Aden, Ibb, Marib and Hadramout) on leadership and negotiation, studying the needs of the community and preparing projects, advocacy and lobbying.

Providing advice and guidance, as well as providing some small financial grants, which in turn will enable members of the network to contribute to community development and establish community peace rules in coordination with local authority leaders and local and international organizations.

 

Component 3: Policy Fellowship:

 

 Rehabilitation and training of 20 young men and women from five governorates (Sana'a, Aden, Ibb, Marib and Hadramout) on leadership skills, policy analysis, awareness-raising, communication with the public and advocates and conflict resolution.

Support these young people who have an interest in public affairs by providing them with fellowship opportunities in public policies enabling them to work with local authorities in these governorates for a limited period.

20 Prepared 20 policy papers addressing a number of societal problems by members of the Policy Fellows who worked with local authorities during the fellowship.
