The Social Accountability Project implemented by Resonate!Yemen seeks to raise awareness of accountability, and its tools, and to enhance this concept among organizations, institutions, and local authorities, with the aim of contributing to improve the quality of public services.

Implemented for the fourth time, a wide range of partnerships were established with civil society institutions and organizations working, and interested in the field of social accountability, in various Yemeni governorates, including various governorates in Yemen.

The project also pursues to improve the level of public service delivery for the purpose of achieving a long-term partnership towards supporting and strengthening the concepts and tools of social accountability on a large scale.

In fact, these partnerships, with local partners, have provided a practical basis on which to build a new commencement in working on the objectives and mechanisms of enhancing social accountability in Yemen.

During this project, the Community Accountability Conference was implemented, which brought together various stakeholders and actors in the field of social accountability.

To emphasize, the Social Accountability Conference intended to measure the actual reality of social accountability, recognize local priorities for social accountability, and to discuss the main challenges facing civil society organizations when implementing community accountability activities and tools.

Finally, the conference tackled the experiences and expertise of civil society organizations in social accountability activities and tools (success stories/open discussions, knowledge exchange). It contributed to enhancing the implementation of the accountability system on the ground, according to the views of the participants.
